  2. Version 1.02, on Bulletin Board Systems.

  13. As the exclusive copyright holder for WinHTML, Gulf Coast Software
  14. authorizes on-line distribution only in accordance with
  15. the following restrictions.  Disk Vendors and Distributors should
  16. refer to the VENDOR.TXT text file for complete license information.

  18. The WinHTML package is defined as containing all the
  19. material listed in the PACKING.LST text file.  If any files
  20. listed in the PACKING.LST text file, or the PACKING.LST file
  21. itself, are missing, then the package is not complete and
  22. distribution is forbidden.  Please contact us to obtain a
  23. complete package suitable for distribution.

  25.     o  The WinHTML package - including all related program
  26.        files and documentation files - CANNOT be modified in any
  27.        way (other than that mentioned in the following paragraph)
  28.        and must be distributed as a complete package, without
  29.        exception.  The PACKING.LST text file contains a list of
  30.        all files that are part of the WinHTML package.

  32.     o  Many BBSs customarily add a small text file
  33.        (advertisement) to each archived file.  This text file
  34.        describes the BBS and tells people that the file was
  35.        downloaded from that particular BBS.  Other BBSs add a
  36.        small one-line message with their BBS name and phone
  37.        number into the compressed file, which will display when
  38.        the file is uncompressed.  Either of these methods of
  39.        mentioning your BBS are acceptable and may be used,
  40.        provided the program and documentation is otherwise
  41.        unmodified and complete.

  43.     o  Gulf Coast SoftWare prohibits the distribution of outdated
  44.        versions of the WinHTML package, without written
  45.        permission from Gulf Coast SoftWare.  If the version you
  46.        have obtained is over twelve (12) months old, please
  47.        contact us to ensure that you have the most current version.

  49.     o  Licensee shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify,
  50.        decompile, disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or
  51.        transfer the licensed program except as provided in this
  52.        agreement.  Any such unauthorized use shall result in
  53.        immediate and automatic termination of this license.

  55.     o  U.S. Government Information:  Use, duplication, or
  56.        disclosure by the U.S. Government of the computer software
  57.        and documentation in this package shall be subject to the
  58.        restricted rights applicable to commercial computer
  59.        software as set forth in subdivision (b)(3)(ii) of the
  60.        Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at
  61.        252.227-7013 (DFARS 52.227-7013).  The
  62.        Contractor/manufacturer is Gulf Coast SoftWare, P.O. Box 2294,

  84. BBS Update Program:
  85. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  86. Most BBSs have standard procedures for acquiring new files.  They
  87. get them from other boards, new programs are uploaded by users,
  88. etc.  This is good because most authors cannot afford to mail
  89. disks or upload files to thousands of BBSs.  However, some BBSs
  90. prefer to obtain programs directly from the authors.  If you
  91. would like to obtain programs directly from us, automatically,
  92. then please help us to cover the cost.

  94. If your BBS would like to receive automatic upgrades to any of
  95. our products, directly from us, then please refer to the
  96. information below.  Due to the time and expense we are generally
  97. unable to upload directly to a large number of Bulletin Board
  98. Systems.  However, we are able to mail updates on disk (in a
  99. sealed envelope) to many BBS's.
  100.  
  101. If your BBS would like to receive automatic updates then please
  102. take advantage of our BBS Update Program.  Under this program you
  103. can receive updates for an entire year for only $10 per program
  104. (this helps to offset our costs).
  105.  
  106. To receive updates, simply send us a letter with the name and
  107. address of your BBS, your mailing address, the name of the person
  108. we may contact (preferably the SYSOP or CO-SYSOP), the program
  109. (or programs) for which you would like to receive updates, and a
  110. check or money order for $10 for each program (for countries
  111. outside of North America please add an additional $10 per
  112. program).  Payment in U.S. funds, drawn on a U.S. bank or postal
  113. money orders only, please.

  120. NOTE: All BBS's participating in our BBS Update Program will
  121.       automatically receive any NEW programs which we may release
  122.       while their BBS Update Program is in effect.

  124. The BBS Update Program is only intended to help us cover our
  125. expenses in those cases where a BBS desires to obtain the program
  126. directly from us.  If you have other standard ways to obtain
  127. programs, then you may prefer not to use our BBS Update Program.
